At one time, I used to use several big cats in my show. Using the big cats made the Claude Haggerty Show very successful and yet very controversial.
In 2003 & 2004 the Ontario Humane Society and the various animal activist groups targeted my show and it became evident that using animals in shows was no longer accepted by the masses.
I decided to take a 2 year leave of absence from performing and redesigned my show to be performed without the animals. My cats were re located to a zoo where they would enjoy their retirement.
If you take a close look at my references you will see that my shows are doing better than ever. My show is more affordable without the huge on going expenses of transporting and housing exotic cats and all the press regarding the show is now positive.
We are now back on track helping charities to raise more money than ever before.
